There are significant disparities in the use of formal financial services across age groups. Worldwide, those aged 15-24 are 33 percent less likely to have an account and 40 percent less likely to have saved formally compared to those ages 25 and older. Regionally, East Asia and the Pacific has the highest account penetration among young adults both in absolute terms and relative to those ages 25–64.
